Pipemasters Power Plus
Most
factory race pipes give at least two flat spots. At Pipemasters we've learned
how to iron those out to give a steady flow of power right through out the
rev range.
Incredibly,
there are times when this falls into place first try! The system outlined
for the Suzuki Bandit - gave a 22% increase at 550 revs on the first
run, no jets changes, we just put it straight into production.
Running his ZX6R in among the factory riders at Eastern Creek's 1997ARRC
round, Chad Turnbull was pleased that he had done the extra testing. From
a field of eight he was among the top two privateers.
The development work is paying off!
Chad relied on Ed Cross for the horse-power component of his package.
"He's been so good to me," says the youngster.
Ed,
in turn, relies on Pipemasters for the best exhaust system performance.
This goes back to the introduction of the Dynojet dynamometer to
Australia by Serco many years ago. Ed was working for Serco then,
and he saw at first hand the power improvements that came with Pipemasters
equipment.
Ed left Serco a year or so later, setting up his own business at
Sumner Park. He had the use of the Tech Sim Dynojet there, and because
of his vast experience in jetting and tuning it became normal for
staff members to run back and forward as they developed new road and
race pipes.
Comparison:
One
of the features of the Dynojet is that power graphs can be compared
with results from any unit from anywhere in the World.

The value of this convenience showed up when Peter Jacobs own ZX9R
was getting the treatment. No fewer than five new secondary collectors
were tried before a nicely progressive torque curve came up on the
graph. The end was horsepower enough for this relative novice to
be leading the privateer title in the Formula Extreme.
Pipemasters' Peter Gray also made the system for Chad, who reported:
"It's considerably better on the track and is a match for the factory
bikes. I find it's faster than the Hondas and Suzukis."
The only privateer to beat Chad Eastern Creek was '94 Shell Oils Production
title winner, Paul Young, and Chad brought his Kawasaki home in fifth
in that company.
Back to back testing to compare the Pipemasters exhaust with well-known
European makes was paying off, Chad adding that
"Ed and Pipemasters' Peter Gray had worked well together to get the extra
power."
Pipemasters
spend a great deal of time and effort into research and development
they are constantly monitoring, improving and retesting.
